Amerson to become next CEO of AgFirst
Leon T. Amerson takes over on July 1 from F.A. Lowrey, who plans to retire as CEO on June 30. Joining AgFirst Farm Credit Bank in 1987, Amerson has served as the bank’s chief operating officer since 2006, and was named president in April 2010.
1301 Gervais tower renamed IT-oLogy @ Innovista
The installation of the new signage exemplifies the partnership between IT-oLogy and Innovista to foster the development, growth and relocation of information technology companies, small and large, the partners said. The building now houses nine IT companies.
SCRA promotes key personnel
Marvin Davis is the company’s newest executive team member, overseeing the SCRA R&D Facilities sector as executive vice president. Greg Hillman will serve as the interim director for SC Launch, an SCRA Technology Ventures program. Tom McCord will serve as the interim vice president for commercial solutions.
Belk establishes distribution center in Union County
The privately owned department store retailer plans to locate a new eCommerce distribution and fulfillment center in Union County. The $4.5 million capital investment is expected to generate 124 new jobs over the next five years. Operations are set to begin in June.
