Bridgestone to invest $1.2B, build new facility in Aiken
The tire manufacturer expects to create more than 850 jobs while making the largest capital investment in state history. The new off-road radial tire plant will be located at Aiken County's Sage Mill Industrial Park.
State Chamber of Commerce sues NLRB
The S.C. Chamber of Commerce joined the U.S. Chamber of Commerce in filing a legal challenge to the National Labor Relations Board’s new rule requiring businesses to post notices explaining employees’ rights to unionize. The chambers allege that the rule violates the First Amendment.

Investors boost existing home sales in August
Sales of existing homes nationwide increased 7.7% in August to an annualized rate of 5.03 million units. Single-family home sales accounted for most of the gain, as all four regions of the country reported increased sales activity.
