Killian Road tract slated for car dealerships

The Richland County tract comprising 5.48 acres has been sold for $845,000 to help accommodate the new Jim Hudson Lexus dealership as well as the proposed Jim Hudson Cadillac dealership. Strong logistics connections and available greenfield sites has led to business development at Killian Road and Interstate 77.

BlueCross companies donate to military foundation

PGBA LLC and InStil Health Insurance Co., both part of BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina, donated $20,000 to the Military Warriors Support Foundation. The money will cover the costs of transferring ownership of a mortgage-free home in Columbia to Iraq war veteran and Silver Star recipient Peter Lara.

USC team advances to national accounting finals

A team of accounting students from the University of South Carolina will compete in the final round of the annual xTREME Games sponsored by PwC in Washington, D.C. this month. More than 4,400 students from 84 colleges competed in teams for the chance to represent their schools at the national level.
