Fitch downgrades Santee Cooper bonds
Fitch Ratings downgraded $5 billion worth of Santee Cooper’s bonds on Tuesday, citing the public utility’s ownership percentage in the construction of two nuclear reactors, among other issues. The bonds were downgraded to AA- from AA, with a stable outlook.
Michelin unveils new passenger car tire design
Michelin rolled out the new tire design, called the Defender, at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit this week. The tire will be produced at the company’s manufacturing facilities in Greenville and Lexington, plus a half-dozen other plants.
Green Building Council names Midlands branch chair
Christina Fleming, who handles business development for Studio 2LR, was elected to the board of the S.C. Chapter of the U.S. Green Building Council. She will be the representative for communications with the S.C. Chapter and act as the Midlands branch spokesperson.
