Texas city buys Avtec radio console systemThe 911 radio console system from Gilbert-based Avtec features open standards, allowing the city of Richardson, Texas to connect the system to various components from different vendors. Avtec said it is their first P25 CSSI project in North America to go live. Gov. Haley vetoes Savannah River-DHEC billThe bill, which passed unanimously in both state chambers, would have suspended the authority of the Department of Health and Environmental Control over the Savannah River. BMW's S.C. plant produced 25,931 units in JanuaryBMW produced 12,452 X3 units in January at its Spartanburg County plant, which is roughly four times the number of X6 units produced during that same month. The plant produced 9,514 X5 units and 3,965 X6 units in January. In 2011, BMW boosted production at its Spartanburg plant more than 80%. |
