SCANA contracts with N.C. company for nuclear project
Pike Electric Corp. was given a $275 million contract for engineering, procurement and construction of 250 miles of 230-kilovolt transmission lines associated with the expansion of the V.C. Summer Nuclear Station in South Carolina.
Federal grand jury indicts 10 on business crime charges
Ten people have been indicted by a federal grand jury in Columbia on charges of business-related crimes. Eight of those charged were involved in a credit card fraud ring, said U.S. Attorney Bill Nettles.

Job of the WeekThe University of South Carolina is hiring a data coordinator for its Development and Alumni Affairs, Advancement Services department. The coordinator will be responsible for data collection, data entry and logging of all gifts received by the university.
