Wells Fargo profit hits record $4.25B in Q1

The San Francisco-based bank, which has the largest market share in South Carolina, said revenue rose 6% to $21.64 billion in the first quarter, compared with $20.33 billion a year earlier. Quarterly revenue was the highest in nine quarters, according to CEO John Stumpf.

Army Corps issues Savannah River deepening report

The Army Corps of Engineers issued its final report for the Savannah Harbor Expansion Project, recommending a depth of 47 feet, which S.C. officials have said may be too shallow for post-Panamax access to a proposed joint port development in Jasper County, S.C.

Physical therapy center opens new Midlands locations

The downtown office of Human Performance and Rehabilitation Centers has moved from its former location on Blanding Street to its new location at 1612 Marion St., Suite 113. HPRC also has expanded services to a new Lexington office at 1216 W. Main St., Suite A.

SCE&G donating up to $2,500 to Palmetto Clean Energy

To bolster efforts to develop renewable energy generation, South Carolina Electric & Gas has teamed up with Palmetto Clean Energy. For every customer who signs up for paperless billing this month, SCE&G will donate $1 to the nonprofit group.
