Councilwoman appointed to National League of CitiesTameika Isaac Devine, a city councilwoman at-large for Columbia, has been appointed to the National League of Cities’ 2011 Human Development Policy and Advocacy Steering Committee. Former White House chief of staff to speak to Boy ScoutsAndrew H. Card Jr. is slated to speak next week at the 2011 Friends of Scouting dinner. Card served in both Bush administrations, including as chief of staff for President George W. Bush. Card famously whispered in Bush’s ear while he was reading to school children to let him know about the terror attacks of Sept. 11, 2001. |
